Tohu's strategy is to consistantly produce top quality wines
for its discerning markets.
The gold, silver and bronze medals it wins for its wines confirms
the continual achievement of this strategy.
The Tohu wine label is a co-operative business venture between
three Maori Authorties: Wakatu Incorporation, Ngati Rarua Ati Awa
Iwi Trust and Wi Pere Trust.
Tohu Wines produces Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir
and Gisborne Chardonnay.
Wi Pere vineyard is the exclusive grower of grapes for Tohu
Chardonnay.
Tohu's Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes are sourced in
Marlborough from our own vineyards and contract growers.
Tohu's first vintage in 1998 was approximately 3,500 cases. 2003
vintage was approximately 28,000 cases. 2008 vintage is expected
to be approximately 120,000 cases.
Tohu Wines exports largely to the UK and USA with increasing
