The Company was incorporated in 1995 for the purpose of purchasing the Te Kuha Mining
Licence at Westport, South Island, and mining the licensed area when Access Agreements
and Resource Consents had been approved.
The Company's Resource Consent Application was not granted which led to an appeal
to the Environment Court. Prior to the hearing of the case the Company entered into
dialogue with the principal objector, the Department of Conservation, with the intention
of satisfying its concerns.
It appears that after expending substantial time and resources the Company has been
unable to ameliorate DOC's concerns.
The Company has taken the decision not to pursue its Appeal to the Environment Court
however will continue to address the objections made by DOC while considering the
option of making another Application for Resource Consent.
The company is seeking to sell or joint venture its interest with interested parties.
